New Editions Wins Home and Community-based Settings Rule Contract
Falls Church, VA, September 1, 2017 – New Editions has been awarded the Home and Community-based Settings Rule program support and technical assistance contract by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). Under this three-year contract, New Editions supports the Division of Long Term Services and Supports (DLTSS) within the CMS Disabled and Elderly Health Programs Group in assisting states with State Transition Plans (STPs) and activities to comply with the Home and Community-Based settings rule. This rule sets the requirements for states to ensure that community-based housing and services are person-centered, provide choice and ensure community inclusion for older adults and individuals with disabilities. New Editions assists DLTSS to review STPs, track state implementation of their plans and provide technical assistance on specific issues and requirements under the rule.
