Training
To participate in the Clinical Case Management Training, please
visit MHS Learn at https://mhslearn.satx.disa.mil/.
Once
you have logged onto MHS Learn, click on "MHS Staff
Training" at
the top of the page. You will then need to login through MHS
Learn on the right side of the page. When prompted, click on
the CAC access button to access the application using your Common
Access Card (CAC).
Once the CAC/certificate has been verified,
you will be prompted back to the MHS home page where you will
have to login to MHS Learn (on the right side of the page) with
your user name (first name.last name.last four digits of your
Social Security Number) and your password. You will be sent
to the catalog page on the left hand side, located under “browse
catalog” (second bullet). Finally,
please click on "Case Management Training" for a list
of courses.
If you have difficulty, please contact the MHS Help
Desk at 800.600-9332 select option 4 and option 4 to speak
to a representative. |

The training will cover the basic concepts of InterQual, how the
criteria have been developed with the latest evidence based on medicine,
the role of the physician advisor, and the secondary level review
process.

Clinical Brown Bag Course Information
These web seminars, which are hosted by Milliman, are designed for
medical directors and other clinicians interested in applying care
guidelines and clinical content for care management. These one hour
informal sessions will provide a chance to reinforce material from
in-person training, to explore topics in more depth, and to learn
about guideline content that was not covered during the in-person
training. Care Guidelines physician editors will be available to answer
questions that you may have about appropriate use of the guidelines
in care management.
These are free one hour sessions and take place the third Thursday
of each month at 10:00 am PST/1:00 pm EST. The topics for the
remainder of the year are:

Equipment Needed
You will need the following to fully participate in the Web seminars:
- Access to the Internet and a browser to connect to the visual
portion of the seminar
- A phone line separate from your Internet connection to dial into
the audio portion of the seminar
Prior to the seminar, you will receive the toll-free number to call
and complete instructions on how to connect to the visual portion.
After you have registered, you will receive a confirmation email
detailing the following:
- Web Seminar topic, date and time
- A link to the Web Seminar and a password to join
- Telephone conference call information

new On Demand Training offering.
On Demand Training offers self-paced modules that deliver comprehensive
basic training on all Care Guidelines products and CareWebQI® functionality.
On Demand Training optimizes your ability to schedule training in
your environment when it works best for you.
On Demand Training modules provide learners with the ability
to:
- Easily and efficiently access and complete training topics via
the web
- Set a personal pace for pursuing the course material, starting,
pausing, stopping and repeating as desired
- Review the modules individually or in a group
- Obtain introductory and basic training on products
- Enable experienced users to review specific modules to reinforce
learning in key areas

Viewing Requirements
Double-click the file to run in full-screen mode at 800 x

all." Please note that this module is best viewed at 800
x 600. If you choose to reduce the size of the module in order to
fit a smaller screen, display of the product screenshots may not be
optimal.
