Surgeon General’s Call to Action to
Improve the Health and Wellness of Persons with Disabilities Strategic
Plan Implementation Support
New Editions provides logistics and management support to assist the OD in
implementing the Call to Action Strategic Plan. We will plan and conduct two
important events:
- a conference with major health care provider organizations to identify
best practices in disability awareness training for physicians and nurses;
and
- a forum with employers to identify best practices in providing access to
health care services for employees with disabilities;
New Editions will also
develop two publications for employers and employees to support improved
health care access in the workplace.
New Editions contract management, Quality Improvement and other supporting
staff are all superb. The Executive Director’s (Shelia Newman) ability
to match the employee expertise to the job requirements is both outstanding
and unique.
