Breaking Down Barriers to Health for Women with Physical Disabilities
The purpose of this contract was to provide logistical support to organize a conference and to produce a final report. New Editions worked with HHS and subject matter experts to plan for a one-day meeting in Washington, DC in March 2004. This included accomplishing the following activities:
- Drafted and finalized meeting invitation list, invitation letter and reply forms, with input from DHHS
- Disseminated invitation via email, mail and other mechanisms
- Entered registrations into a spreadsheet and send confirmation e-mails to each participant, in addition to tracking those who cannot attend
- Made hotel reservations for participants as needed
- Produced a participant list
- Produced nametags for speakers and participants
- Identified staffing needs and staffing assignments
- Arranged a working lunch
- Staffed the forum
New Editions sent monthly email reports on the logistics to the COR, that included a list of attendees as people register and were entered into the database.
New Editions developed a report by conducting the following steps:
- Developed the dissemination list for the report
- Designed the format of the report
- Made 500 copies of the report for distribution
- Mailed the report to the dissemination list
