Section 508 Program Management Support for the Office of Accessible Systems and Technology

New Editions provides technical support to the Office of Accessible Systems and Technology (OAST) in addressing the accessibility of electronic and information technology (EIT) under Section 508, as well as its accommodation responsibilities under Sections 501/504. New Editions staff, located onsite at DHS, develop and conduct training, test Web site and software products, design accessible documents, conduct IT procurement reviews, man the Help Desk, prepare reports, and provide technical assistance on assistive technology and reasonable accommodations. Off-site staff provides management support to OAST in the form of strategic planning, performance measurement, and outreach activities.
