Outreach for IMPACT Center
Under subcontract to Cherry Engineering Support Services, Inc. (CESSI), New Editions Consulting is designing and developing a website for the IMPACT Center. New Editions is designing a visually appealing, fully accessible website that complies with the requirements of the ADA and the standards of Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act. The site is expected to go live by the end of 2003.
The mission of the IMPACT Center is to inform State employees, including management, of obligations under Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act, and to provide training and resources to help them comply with the standards. In addition to meeting the mandates of this legislation, IMPACT can help the Department of State be a better employer of disabled people and improve services to the public. IMPACT Center is dedicated to implementation of Section 508.
In addition, to the website, New Editions, Inc. is assisting the Center with outreach and public relations. New Editions will be preparing flyers, email alerts, and other materials to advertise training in the Center. New Editions is also designing brochures and other marketing and public relations materials for the Center.
