The Project Coordinator is an integral member of the project team. The Project Coordinator is responsible for organizing and coordinating project activities, under the direction of a Project Director (PD) & Vice President.

Responsibilities:

Information Specialist functions:

  • Responds to customer service requests via phone, email, and social media between set call center hours; and conducts necessary research to answer requests in a timely manner.
  • Researches new assistive technology products, writes descriptions, and indexes them for website publication.
  • Establish relationships with other partners/companies in same field by attending conferences and webinars and performing outreach.
  • Writes informational guides on various assistive technologies and market trends.

New Editions Consulting, a federal contractor, seeks professional staff to support federal government clients in their IT accessibility programs in the Washington, DC area.

A working knowledge of the Section 508 requirements and the associated subparts of the standards along with Section 255 of the Telecommunications Act are essential. The Section 508 Analyst will be responsible for supporting the Section 508 Program Office and ensuring that external clients and internal program areas receive accurate information regarding compliance to Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, and that EIT developed or procured is Section 508 compliant. The candidate must be able to obtain a government security clearance.

New Editions is looking for a Senior Accessibility Subject Matter Expert (Section 508/WCAG) to support a federal client. This person must be a self-starter and be able to juggle multiple tasks. Requirements include a current Trusted Tester certification and a minimum of 7-years of experience using accessibility remediation tools for various types of information communication technologies (ICT). Familiarity with the Federal acquisitions process and a PMP certification are also desired.
