New Editions - A Top Workplace by The Washington Post

Falls Church, VA, June 20, 2014 – New Editions Consulting, Inc. is pleased to announce that we have been selected as one of The Washington Post Top Workplaces for 2014. The Top Workplaces are determined solely on employee feedback about engagement, organizational health, and satisfaction.

“New Editions is honored to be recognized in this inaugural Special Report. It is the small things we do that leads to these awards. “Our management team believes that our employees are the only asset the company has and when treated well, they will deliver outstanding work to our clients,” said Shelia Newman, President of New Editions.  “Keeping our employees on the payroll during the 2013 government shut down, offering challenging and interesting work with opportunities to advance, creating a culture of work-life balance, and recognizing and respecting employees’ work have helped us retain our staff,” she continued.

New Editions was highlighted in a sidebar in the Top Workplaces Special Report on Work-Life Balance. “We strive to create a culture where our employees are respected and rewarded for the work they perform and are treated like family. It’s truly gratifying that we have achieved our goal,” said Elizabeth Tewey, a Vice President who teleworks most of her week, capitalizing on one of the many benefits offered by the company.

New Editions is a small woman-owned government contractor.  Our focus areas include disability policy and research, health services, aging, workforce development, international development, education, housing and transportation.

This year the survey garnered responses from 33,832 employees from 244 companies. The survey is conducted by WorkplaceDynamics, LLP, a leading research firm on organizational health and employee engagement.
